He was highly involved in the community as a coach and was labeled as “The People’s Champ”. He also was an avid fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfred Hill, Sr. and Eva Mae Hill, and paternal grandparents, John Printup, Sr. and Sara Printup. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, April 8th at Love Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 4 PM.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but will be announced as soon as possible by Love Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Harold and Mary Springfield.

Robert left Georgia at the age of 28 after attending Augusta Community college graduating as a heavy equipment mechanic. He also worked as a chauffeur, and in his spare time he love outdoor sports. He passed peacefully in the presence of his family at Bürgerhospital on December 12, 2022. Due to COVID-19, the family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Due to Covid-19, no services are planned at this time.
